How to Apply: Step by Step
The following steps are important and required as we get to know your child and determine how The Craig School can best support their growth.
Fill out the Inquiry Form to receive our latest Information Packet and Digital Viewbook. This connects you with Kate Tartaglia, Director of Admissions, and begins your admissions process. The Viewbook covers academic and program highlights for our Lower School, Middle School, and High School.
We want to be able to serve students at Craig who will benefit from our programs. Our goal is to make sure we meet the needs of your student — this screening helps us determine whether The Craig School is the right fit.
Students are evaluated using a variety of educational tools. Please email all testing materials to Kate Tartaglia at ktartaglia@craigschool.org. We require as many of the following as are available:
After reviewing the application and submitted evaluative materials, we will contact you to schedule further discussions about your student.
Our parent visit is designed so you can speak directly with our school directors about your student. After this discussion — and if it is determined that The Craig School could be a good match — your student will then be invited to spend a day with us.
After the initial parent tour, Kate Tartaglia, Director of Admissions, will guide you through the steps of applying to our program. You will receive a link to complete the online application, which includes a $50 application fee for processing.
We will arrange the visit on a mutually convenient day. You will receive an invitation via email with an overview of the day. Visiting a new school can be unpredictable — we will provide instructions on how to prepare everyone for the visit.
Your student will be given a brief reading assessment during this visit to help us determine the best placement and reading class for them.
The Admissions Committee makes a final determination after all steps are completed. You will be notified of our decision by phone and mail. Enrollment Contracts are then generated for the school year.
