Personalized Support for
Every Step of the Journey
Students receive continuous guidance through annual seminar classes and one-on-one support with essays and applications across all four years.
All Craig students have access to SCOIR, a comprehensive College & Career management platform. Students begin learning the platform in 7th and 8th grade, creating profiles and completing self-discovery assessments to research college and career paths based on their unique interests and strengths. Accounts carry through all of high school.
Grade-by-Grade Seminar Series
Each Craig student is enrolled in a dedicated seminar at every grade level — a structured, progressive curriculum that builds self-awareness, career readiness, and college preparation year by year.
Led by our School Psychologist, Tiffany Brown, this seminar helps 9th graders develop deep self-awareness and foundational advocacy skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional lives.
The Director of College Counseling & Transitions leads sophomores through a career-focused curriculum, helping them connect their passions and strengths to real-world futures — including securing their very first job experiences.
Juniors dive headfirst into the college application process. The goal: leave for summer break with as much of the process completed as possible, so senior year begins with momentum rather than stress.
The senior seminar equips students with every tool they need for a confident, smooth transition to college and campus life. The Director remains an active partner through the spring — all the way to the first day of college.
SAT Testing Center
An Official Testing Center — Built for Our Students
The Craig School is an official ACT and SAT Testing Center, available exclusively to our students. Our Director of College Counseling & Transitions works directly with ACT and College Board to ensure every student receives the accommodations they need — from extended time to assistive technology features like text-to-speech.
Extended time, text-to-speech, and other assistive technology accommodations are coordinated directly with testing organizations for every eligible student.
While most colleges are now test-optional, some students choose to take the ACT or SAT to maximize scholarship eligibility and strengthen their overall application.
Craig offers the PSAT to 10th and 11th grade students as a practice assessment, building familiarity with standardized testing formats well before applications are due.
Tours, Rep Visits & Pre-College Programs
Every Craig student — not just juniors and seniors — gets real, in-person exposure to college campuses and admissions professionals. We believe early, hands-on exploration builds confidence and informed decision-making.
Each year, we plan college tour field trips for our entire student body. These are not reserved for upperclassmen — all Craig students go. Recent campus visits include:
College admissions representatives come directly to Craig to meet with students and families. These visits give our students access to real admissions insights in a comfortable, familiar environment — no campus visit required.
We also work with students on applications for pre-college programs, helping motivated students get a head start on campus experience and academic enrichment before graduation.

Families meet one-on-one with our Director of College Counseling & Transitions to build a personalized roadmap — a curated list of college and postsecondary recommendations tailored to each student's unique strengths, interests, and learning profile.
Craig's college counseling support is not limited to four-year universities. We actively guide students through every postsecondary option available to them.
